What's actually included in the £800 base build?
A custom-designed multi-page website (typically 4-7 pages: home, about, services, contact and any others the business needs), hand-coded in Next.js and React rather than a page builder. Includes responsive design across desktop/tablet/mobile, on-page SEO (meta tags, sitemap, structured data, image optimisation), Vercel deployment, custom domain setup, and a 10-day post-launch tweak window. Anything outside this — bookings, e-commerce, custom imagery, CMS — is a transparent line-item add-on shown on this page.
Do you take a deposit?
No. You only pay the full invoice after you've reviewed and approved the live preview of your site. If you don't like what we've built, you don't pay — full stop. This is the single most-asked-about thing in our discovery calls, and it's a deliberate choice: it removes all the financial risk of working with a studio you haven't worked with before.
Are care plans optional?
Yes, entirely optional. Your finished site works without one — it's deployed to Vercel, the hosting is on us through your first year, and small content edits can be made by us on a pay-as-you-go basis if you don't want a plan. Most clients pick up a care plan around month 3-6 when they realise they want a single number to call rather than ad-hoc requests.
Can I add features later without rebuilding?
Yes. Because we build with a modular code structure rather than a fixed template, adding sections, pages, or features after launch is straightforward — we quote the add-on at the published rate from this page. Common post-launch adds are e-commerce setup, native booking systems, and CMS so the team can edit content themselves.
What happens between approval and the site going live?
We point your domain at Vercel (we handle the DNS configuration), deploy the approved build, verify it on the live URL, and set up any final integrations (Stripe, email, analytics, booking provider). Usually completed within 24 hours of payment clearing. We send a launch confirmation with a 10-day post-launch tweak window built in for anything that surfaces once you've been using the site.
Why no hourly rates?
Hourly billing rewards slow work and punishes efficient builds — exactly the wrong incentive. We quote a fixed price from the discovery call so you know the total before you sign anything. If the project scope changes (you decide to add a booking system midway), we quote the change at the published rate from this page and you decide whether to add it. No surprise invoices.
